Located in the Walla Walla Valley, Ku'ulei Vineyard spans 16 acres along the cut of an alluvial fan deposited on the valley floor. This unique site features Freewater cobble and sandy loam soils, contributing to the distinct flavor and style of the wines produced here.
Harvest and Production
From Ku'ulei Vineyard, only 97 cases of this 100% Carménère were produced. The terroir, characterized by the cobble and sandy loam, is prominently displayed in the wine, reflecting the vineyard's proximity to the Rocks District.
Terroir
Soil: "Freewater" cobble and sandy loam soils provide excellent drainage and contribute to the unique characteristics of the wine.
Climate: The location, right on the border of the Rocks District, experiences hot days and cool nights, allowing the Carménère to develop its distinctive flavors.
