2021 Hallowed Stones Tempranillo

The Hallowed Stones wines are the culmination of our multi-generational efforts to create the purest expressions of terroir and to let our estate fruit tell the story of the rocky soils on which it is grown. The Rocks District of Milton-Freewater is unique in the winegrowing world -  vines are planted directly into the rocky soils and the grapes hang nearly to the ground in order to maximize their exposure to the solar radiation provided by the river stones, and to absorb minerality through the roots that weave through the rocks.

Our 2021 Hallowed Stones Tempranillo showcases this growing regain with dark fruit, baking spices, and hints of hickery smoke opening on the nose and pallet. Full heavy body pallet with more dark fruit, vinialla and hints of tobaco leaf on the finish. This wine is elegant and bold rolled into one.
